Peter Linseman

Working over 20 years as owner of Music Mentor Productions (MMP), a CCMA nominated recording studio & Independent Record Label, Peter Linseman has worn every hat imaginable in the music industry. Peter was named the President of YOUTH DAY Global (Celebrations of Youth Organization Inc. COYO) February 2020, with YOUTH DAY Toronto celebrating its 14th consecutive year on July 19, 2020 – in response to COVID-19 pandemic, has created the first of its kind, YOUTH DAY Toronto FestCast (details online). On top of his label responsibilities, he has also managed many artists' careers over the years including popular actress / multi-talented eOne Music country artist Kate Todd and MMP/ILS Group/UMG country/rock artist Anthony Tullo - both JSR Factor funded artists guided by Peter’s expertise in songwriting, production and grant writing. Peter has written, produced & released dozens of national/international albums and singles over the years. 'Anywhere With You', co-produced/co-written with Kate Todd, earned an international distribution deal eOne Music. The only cover song on 'Anywhere With You' - 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot' featuring Jeff Healey, landed an international Sync Licensing deal with SonyATV/EMI and also earned Peter a 2015 CMAO Producer of the Year Award nom. In 2016, Music Mentor Productions joined the ILS Group of labels and was offered a distribution deal for Anthony Tullo’s album ‘Rebel With A Song’ through ILS/Universal Music Group that distribute to over 400 digital stores worldwide and physically in North America.
Peter is the new President of YOUTH DAY Global, founding director and current President of Heritage Canada funded National Youth Music Council (formerly known as Hometown Music Council), founding director of the Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAO), founding director of Building Bands Canada and founding / Executive Director of the SIPO Foundation. SIPO’s flagship event is the Power of Ideas Conferences and became a founding director after guest speaking at SIPO’s 2012 Power of Ideas Conference with keynote speaker Arlene Dickinson. Peter started and still manages the first Toronto Regional Writers Group for the Songwriters Association of Canada.
He is the editor of the Profit Guide BusinessCast and has personally invited guests like astronaut Chris Hadfield and Dragon Den-ers Arlene Dickinson and Brett Wilson as well as being a guest himself alongside Kate Todd. The PROFIT BusinessCast recently experienced their 400th episode of Profit BusinessCast, the longest-running entrepreneur-focused podcast in the world. The new BusinessCast Host is Ryerson’s DMZ BusinessCast - The World’s Leading Tech Accelerator.
Peter’s co-writers include Benita Hill (Garth Brooks #1's), Bernie Nelson (Kenny Chesney, Wynonna Judd), Tim Taylor (multiple CCMA Award and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year winner), Kris Bergsnes (Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson), Philip Douglas (Emerson Drive, Lone Star), Patricia Conroy (Emerson Drive, Reba McEntire), Ralph Murphy (Shania Twain, Randy Travis), Daryl Burgess (Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire), Naoise Sheridan (Kenny Chesney), etc. As Musical Director for Canadian Chinese Idol, Peter was appointed as the first official North American composer for China’s top superstar Laure Shang. Peter made international history by writing and producing We Will Fly for Laure Shang, a hit single in China. He has also written & produced for Tanvi Shah (India - 2009 Grammy & Oscar Award winner for Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire), international dance pop artist Sarina Paris, international pop & Latin artist Rosita Stone, etc.
