Mina Whitesides is a songwriter. She has penned hundreds of songs over the years and she's as prolific now as she has ever been. Mina draws inspiration from her environment - raised and residing in the beautiful state of Oregon, her life experiences and from her beautiful mind of endless imagination. Her musical journey brought her to Toronto Canada for a few years, where she joined the Songwriters Association of Canada and became a regular participant at the Toronto Regional Writers Group. She immediately caught the attention of the SAC Toronto Regional Writers Group organizer, Peter Linseman. They became fast friends, co-writers and musical partners. Together have created many incredible song production's and many more currently in the works. Singer/songwriter, artist and VP Artist Development at Music Mentor Productions Carla Sacco has joined the creative team and has become the featured vocalist on Mina's songs with three video productions currently in the works. It is an exciting time for Mina as more of her songs come to life musically and visually.
In her own home-town of Portland, OR, exciting projects have taken root in the last year. Mina has several, soon-to-be released singles from her work with producer, Matt Greco of The Rye Room. Collaborations with Greco have given Whitesides the opportunity to work with top talent in Portland, including Greco on piano, vocalist Jen Deale (Camp Crush), Joseph Intile (Small Pools) on bass, Jeremy Burchett on drums, as well as Patti King, Kyleen King, and Anna Fritz of Bizarre Strings. What’s clear is that Mina Whitesides has found her mission: To create purpose-driven pop and adult contemporary songs that weave together lyrics from life’s experiences. While in the past she has been a solo performer, now her focus is writing excellent content for other artists to bring to life. Whitesides tenderly labors over each song to produce a piece of music strong enough to cross genres. Her work reveals the authentic, lived experience of humanity and femininity that stands the test of time. These are not fleeting, trendy tunes. Mina Whitesides creates classics.
